Today, the New York City Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association announced their endorsement of Joe Borelli in his campaign for re-election to the New York City Council. In a letter from PBA President Patrick J. Lynch, he states that Joe’s “commitment to addressing the issues affecting New York City police officers is well recognized” and that it is an “honor” to have Joe representing so many of his members in the City Council.

The Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association is the labor union of over approximately 50,000 active and retired police officers in New York City.

“I am beyond privileged to receive the support of President Lynch and the New York City Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association in my re-election campaign for City Council,” said Borelli. “Though it may sometimes be controversial, I have always been a strong and vocal supporter of our law enforcement officers because of the work they do protecting the 8.5 million-plus residents of our great city.”
