STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — With back-to-school about a month away, the office of City Council Member Joseph Borelli (R – Staten Island) will be organizing a Back-to-School Supply Drive.
Opening day for the drive was Monday, Aug. 7 and it’s set to run through Wednesday, Aug. 23 — just in time for the first day of school.
Borelli invites community-spirited individuals — who may be doing some back-to-school supply shopping this year — to pick up a few extra items in order to donate to Staten Island’s less fortunate children.
He reveals items may be dropped off at his Rossville office or shipped directly to the District Office of Councilman Joseph Borelli at 2955 Veterans Road West, Suite #2E, Staten Island, NY 10309.
For any additional questions, e-mail Councilman Borelli at [email protected] or phone 718 984-5151.
Borelli said, “Each year I am happy to help collect school supplies for many of our young children in need. The first days of school can be scary enough for a child and hectic enough for a parent, without worrying about where they will find a pencil or crayons. Thank you in advance to everyone willing to donate, it is very much appreciated.”
