Today, the Lieutenants Benevolent Association of New York City announced their endorsement of Joe Borelli in his campaign for re-election to the New York City Council. In the letter, LBA President Louis Turco expressed his union’s support for Joe in saying “Through the years, we’ve maintained a good working relationship. We trust that you will continue to be receptive to the needs and concerns of New York’s First Responders, and we are looking forward to working productively with you on issues that affect both the law enforcement and labor communities.”
The Lieutenants Benevolent Association of New York City is the labor union 5,200 active and retired New York Police Department Detectives.
“I am beyond privileged to receive the support of President Turco and the Lieutenants Endowment Association in my re-election campaign for City Council,” said Borelli. “Though it may sometimes be controversial, I have always been a strong and vocal supporter of our law enforcement officers because of the work they do protecting the 8.1 million-plus residents of our great city.”
