Today, the Detectives’ Endowment Association of New York City announced their endorsement of Joe Borelli in his campaign for re-election to the New York City Council. In the letter, which you can view here, DEA President Michael J. Palladino and Chairman Paul DiGiacomo expressed their union’s support for Joe in saying “Through the years, we’ve maintained a good working relationship. We trust that you will continue to be receptive to the needs and concerns of New York’s First Responders, and we are looking forward to working productively with you on issues that affect both the law enforcement and labor communities.”
The Detectives’ Endowment Association of New York City is the labor union 17,000 active and retired New York Police Department Detectives.
“I am beyond privileged to receive the support of President Palladino, Chairman DiGiacomo, and the Detectives’ Endowment Association in my re-election campaign for City Council,” said Borelli. “Though it may sometimes be controversial, I have always been a strong and vocal supporter of our law enforcement officers because of the work they do protecting the 8.1 million-plus residents of our great city.”
