SEPTEMBER 01, 2017 South Shore Health Fair

Council Member Joseph Borelli (R – South Shore) is working with public and private partners in the health and wellness industry to organize a South Shore Health Fair at Mount Loretto on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. Representatives from Staten Island University Hospital (Northwell Health), Richmond University Medical Center, the New York City Department of Health, the Staten Island Heart Society, DonateLife NY, On Your Mark, and many other local organizations will be at this fair to answer your questions and address concerns. The fair begins at 11:00am and ends at 2:00pm.

Additionally, Council Member Borelli has funded an initiative with HeartScan Services to offer no-cost thyroid cancer screenings at this event! There are a limited number of screenings available, and you required to make an appointment (for between 11:00am and 2:00pm on September 19) by contacting his office at (718) 984-5151.

Furthermore, Council Member Borelli is working with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to offer Naloxone training during this event! This is a great opprotunity to gather a group of co-workers or friends, and learn a very valuable skill that could potentially save someone’s life. Again, there are a limited number of training sessions available, and you are required to make an appointment ((for between 11:00am and 2:00pm, in at least 30-minute intervals, on September 19) by contacting his office at (718) 984-5151.
